NEW YORK (Reuters) – The first pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s newborn twins have been sold to entertainment news magazines People and Hello!, with all proceeds going to charity.

Getty Images said on Friday it had done an exclusive photo shoot of the twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, with Jolie, Pitt and the couple’s four other children, Maddox, Zahara, Pax and Shiloh — three of whom are adopted.

Getty did not disclose the amount paid by the magazines for the photo rights but some news media reported it was about $11 million (5.6 million pounds). An industry source said that figure was higher than the amount paid by both People and Hello!

“The Jolie-Pitt family and Getty Images have agreed that all proceeds will be used for charitable purposes,” the agency said in a statement.

It said the photos will be published on Monday in People in North America and in Hello! elsewhere.

Oscar winner Jolie, 33, gave birth to the twins on July 12 in Nice, France. The family has rented a villa in nearby Provence.

Jolie and Pitt, 44, are one of Hollywood’s most glamorous couples, dubbed “Brangelina” by the celebrity press, and the birth of their twins was the subject of obsessive media coverage.

People magazine reportedly paid $4 million in June 2006 for North American rights to pictures of Jolie and Pitt’s first biological child, Shiloh, although industry sources said that figure was wildly inaccurate.

After lashing out at John McCain for promoting off-shore oil drilling as a solution to the energy crisis only after meeting with a group of oil executives — and then receiving more than $1 million from oil company employees after announcing his plan — Obama took his GOP rival to task for an ad comparing the Illinois Senator to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

“Given the seriousness of the issues, given the fact that the decisions that we make right now are going to help to determine the future not just of next generation but perhaps generations after that, given the magnitude of our challenges when it comes to energy and health care and jobs and our foreign policy, you’d think that we’d be having a serious debate,” he told a crowd in Cedar Rapids, IA. “But so far, all we’ve been hearing about is Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.”

Obama’s referring to the latest McCain ad, called “Celeb,” that uses brief images of the two young women who are mostly famous simply for being famous — along with pictures from Obama’s massive speech in Berlin to argue that he’s all flash, no substance.

Obama seemed to disagree. “I do have to ask my opponent, is that the best you could come up with?” he said to cheers. “Is that really what this election’s about? Is that really what is worthy of the American people?”

“I’m not interested in getting into a tit for tat. These negative ads, these negative attacks, spending all this time talking about me instead of talking about what he’s going to do – that’s not going to lower your gas prices,” said Obama. “It doesn’t do a single thing to help the American people. It’s politics as a game. But the time for game playing is over, that’s why I’m running for president.”

The blue-eyed beauty from “Transformers” has landed at the top of FHM’s sexy list.

Megan Fox, 21, beat out the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie to get the No. 1 spot in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World for 2008.

“Megan is the deserving winner of this year’s FHM title,” said FHM Online U.S. Editor JR Futrell. “She’s young, she’s hot, she’s a rising star and her sex appeal has definitely transformed this year’s list. She’s got a great future ahead of her.”

Fox has slowly worked her way up the list in the last two years. She originally premiered on it in 2006 at No. 68. In 2007, she crawled up three spots to 65.

Her sudden leap to the top came largely because of her sexy turn in Michael Bay‘s robot-smashing “Transformers,” as the love interest to Shia LaBeouf. It was a far cry from her more wholesome role as the older daughter on the ABC family sitcom, “Hope & Faith,” starring Faith Ford and Kelly Ripa.

Joining Fox on the list’s top ten are Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, Hilary Duff and “Battlestar Galactica” star Tricia Helfer. Last year’s topper, Jessica Alba, fell to No. 3 on the list.

Britney Spears came in at No. 100.

According to FHM, nearly 9 million votes were cast by readers in this, their 14th annual top 100. Other actresses considered “sexy” by voters were Lindsay Lohan (16), Cameron Diaz (18), Beyonce Knowles (20), Jennifer Aniston (42), Eva Longoria Parker (59), Fergie (60), Katie Holmes (65), and Paris Hilton (77).
