It’s been a rough few weeks for Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, who split with Carrie Underwood and endured online gossip about his sexuality.
Specifically, it was rumored that Chace and pal JC Chasez were lovers.
Lil’ sis Candice Crawford says he’s hanging in there though.
“He’s doing okay through this whole ordeal,” Candice said. “He was upset about the breakup. It’s always hard when you lose a relationship.”
Still, his sister added, don’t expect to see Chace Crawford and the American Idol champ-turned country star moping around for long.
“Chace will get through it,” Candice Crawford said. “We love Carrie, too. They’re dolls and they’ll both do well.”

Candice Crawford is doing her best to distract her bummed-out brother. Next week, she’ll compete in the Miss USA Pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino – and Chace, 23, will be there in person to cheer her on.
“The whole family will be there rooting for me,” Candice, a.k.a. Miss Missouri, said. “My mom made T-shirts and little pins for everyone.”
To capture the crown April 11, Candice will have to impress judges such as Heather Mills, Joey Fatone, Rob Schneider and Christian Siriano.
